BROKEN BATTERY DOORS

It happens. You are in a hurry and when you place your hearing aid into the battery door you discover that it is loose. Do NOT attempt to remove the door. Doing so can cause a break in the door deeper within the aid that can separate it from the circuitry. When that happens there is no recourse except to have a new hearing made. Take the loose battery holder to your audiologist and let him put on a new hinge. He can do it safely and save you the cost of a complete new aid. The usual cost for a new door is around $5-10. That's a lot less than the cost of a brand new hearing aid.
